Secure and unload the firearm.

1. Wet 3 patches with SHOTGUN BARREL SWEEP and push through the barrel.
2. Run patches slowly to give solvent time to react with the bore surface.
3. Run 10 passes through using a brush soaked in SHOTGUN BARREL SWEEP.
4. Wet another 4 patches with SHOTGUN BARREL SWEEP, run through, then leave the product in the barrel for 3-5 minutes.
5. Extend the time for extreme fouling. Continue running the patches lubricated with SHOTGUN BARREL SWEEP through until the patches gather no residue at the barrel tip.
6. Finish with 2 dry patches. Before storing your firearm, push a patch dampened with VELDT GUN OIL through the barrel as this will prevent rust and dust from settling on your firearm.
7. Always run a clean, dry patch through the firearm before use to prevent any obstructions. This product is also compatible with bore snakes.

A: This formulation is not intended to be used on stocks and finishes. It is always wise to wipe of residual spillage on the stock or finish immediately after you witness the spill.

 

Q: Will this product dissolve plastics?

A: As stated in the description, the product is aiding in the removal of plastic. It will help you to remove plastic but will not serve as a miracle solvent to dissolve plastic. Chemicals that dissolve plastic will also dissolve your barrel.

 

Q: Can I use this product to clean semi automatic gun ports?

A: This product is ideal in cleaning ports. Extensive tests have shown easier plastic removal from ports using this product.

 

Q: I still see lines in my barrel after exposing my barrel to the solvent?

A: No chemical can be used as a miracle cure for marking inside the barrel of a gun. Make sure that you thorougly scrub the shotgun barrel with a copper/brass spiral brush to remove additional fouling still visible in the barrel. Also ensure that the barrel is not damaged, if so refer to your nearest gunsmith for assistance.
